Welcome to PhotoJourneys.biz! This photo website is an outgrowth of my love of photography, especially travel photography.
For the past two decades, I've sought new landscapes, as I have traveled extensively throughout the islands of the Caribbean, Florida, and other coastal locations. I have also sought to capture images of those landscapes with "new eyes," seeing them for the first time and being captivated by them. I consider tropical photography to be my specialty.
Documenting my trips through photography has been an important part of each vacation. When film photography was the norm, I recall that if I hadn't taken at least one roll of film a day (24 exposures) on my trip, I was "behind." Now that digital photography has virtually replaced film photography, I don't count how many images I've taken, and don't have to worry about running out of film. I can easily capture all the images I want on one or two tiny memory cards.
Years ago, one of my friends who owns an ad agency in Indiana asked if she could use some of my photos on the walls throughout the agency. I was flattered, of course, to see my enlarged, matted, and framed photos in a place of business. Since then, another friend who has owned several coastal properties and recently built a home in a beach community in Port Aransas, Mustang Island, Texas, has encouraged me to showcase my photography here.
